Hazzem Koudsi has a deep connection to the city of Bellleville, attending Prince of Wales Public School and Quinte Secondary School before graduating with a university education (Economics), and returning to Belleville in 2013 to take on executive leadership roles with Canada Revenue Agency’s Belleville operations.
Beyond his professional career, Koudsi has demonstrated a strong commitment to community development. During his time as past Vice Chair of the Board with the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward, he played an important role in advancing the development and construction of a project that strengthened an essential community service and resulted in their new animal care facility on Wallbridge Loyalist Road.
Additionally, he is incoming President of the Rotary Club of Belleville, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward Hastings, Board Member with the Belleville Club, member of 100 Men Who Care, and actively supports the Belleville Chamber of Commerce.
With experience spanning leadership, construction, and organizational development, Koudsi brings a practical understanding of the challenges facing Belleville, including housing affordability, infrastructure needs, and responsible financial management.

Curious how municipal elections work?
Municipal elections determine who represents you on city council, as school board trustee, and as mayor. The decisions they make shape your streets, services, and community for the next four years. Voting is open to Canadian citizens 18 or older who live, own property, or rent in Belleville. Voting is done by internet or telephone, making it easy and convenient to cast your ballot from the comfort of your own home, no waiting in line required! The City of Belleville is also operating Voter Assistance Centres starting October 21st for anyone who needs assistance, or would like to vote with a paper ballot. Keep an eye on your mailbox for your Voter Information Letter in early October.
